Drawing Drapery: The Diaper Fold

The next fold is characterized by having two points of origin.   It is called the diaper fold because it has the look of a diaper hanging on a clothes line. The image below clearly shows

the basic configuration.

The next illustration show both the pipe and diaper folds.  Notice how the folds go over the form.  We have a clear understanding of the volume of the legs, waist, and even the arm as the drapery goes behind and over it.
